Two decades of compassionate molding.
A mission rooted in faith and dignity.
Huruma Dolor was born from a simple conviction: every child — especially the orphaned and vulnerable — deserves a place where love, learning and prayer meet. Since 2005, our founder Peter Akweyona has nurtured this vision into a thriving campus that today serves over 300 learners across primary, secondary and vocational pathways.
Compassionate molding — our philosophy
We believe excellence is not only academic. It is forged in character, shaped by community and sustained by spiritual depth. Every classroom, dormitory, dining hall and field on our campus is designed to gently mold young people into confident, kind and capable citizens.

Community first
Huruma Dolor is more than an orphanage — it is a neighborhood school. Day scholars from surrounding villages study side by side with our resident children, building friendships that dissolve the line between giving and receiving.
Looking ahead
Construction of new modern 8-classroom blocks is underway through 2025–2026, expanding our capacity to welcome more learners while keeping class sizes small and care personal.
